Plan Evaluation Program (PEP)
The Prince George’s Planning Department has released 36 progress reports for each plan covering the County.
The Plan Evaluation Program (PEP) is a key initiative of the Community Planning Division designed to track progress and measure the effectiveness of the County’s long-range planning efforts. The program reviews comprehensive area plans, including master plans, sector plans, and transit district development plans, on a six-year cycle, as required by the County’s Zoning Ordinance. This regular evaluation helps ensure that planning goals remain aligned with community needs, development trends, and policy priorities. The most recent evaluation cycle officially concluded on March 3, 2026, and reviewed 36 different plans. Moving forward, the Planning Department will continue to monitor and evaluate plans on a six-year interval based on their anniversary date.
