M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department to Host Community Meeting
for the Suitland Cultural Arts Implementation Strategy
LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and General Services Administration will host an in-person meeting for the Suitland Cultural Arts Implementation Strategy on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Suitland Community Center. Residents and stakeholders will learn about the upcoming Village Green at the intersection of Suitland and Silver Hill Road and offer their thoughts, as well as public art enhancements throughout the corridor. The kickoff meeting is the first step in developing the Suitland Creative Arts Implementation Strategy.
The Suitland Cultural Arts Implementation Strategy builds upon the Prince George’s County Cultural Arts Study and seeks to harness the power of arts and culture for the benefit of all residents and visitors in Prince George’s County. This strategy aims to identify ideal locations for creative placemaking and will also craft conceptual designs tailored to each location’s unique characteristics and community needs.
