Police Response Times

In accordance with Section  24-4508(b2(B) of the Subdivision Ordinance of the Prince George’s County Code, the Prince George’s County Police Department provides to the Planning Department police response times as part of administering the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance. As of September 5, 2024, the Police Department will provide the Planning Department updated rolling monthly averages of the previous year by January 7 of each following year.

The Planning Department will be applying the Countywide Response Times 12 Month Rolling Averages, January 2023 to December 2023, for applications accepted in 2024. The mitigation process for eligible projects will be reviewed in accordance with CR-078-2005.

The Police Department continues to review this process with the Bureau of Homeland Security’s Joint Analysis Intelligence Center to ensure greater consistency for a more accurate representation of police responses as they fulfill their mission of providing a safe environment and enhancing the quality of life.
