M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation Makes Repairs at College Park Airport 
Normal Operations on Weekends

Riverdale, MD – On, or about April 1, 2019, the College Park Airport will begin scheduled rehabilitation efforts associated with the replacing the runway. Work will include milling pavement, removing this material from the site, replacing asphalt, the existing landing lights, and repairing turf or other areas damaged by the resurfacing operation.

This effort will include pavement milling during the evening hours from 6 p.m. till midnight, and asphalt paving from 7:00 am thru 5:00 pm. All work is slated to occur on Monday through Friday. During weekend hours, the airport will operate as regularly scheduled. Repair work should be completed in two to three weeks or less.
