M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board and Department Announce September 2025 Events and Meetings

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announce their upcoming public events and meetings for September 2025. Prince George’s County Planning Board Meetings

Thursday, September 11 | 2:30 p.m.

The Prince George’s County Planning Board meets on Thursdays to consider planning, zoning, subdivision, and other matters within its jurisdiction. The meetings may be viewed in person at the M-NCPPC Largo Headquarters and via live streaming video. Public participation is encouraged. Everyone who wishes to speak virtually at the Planning Board meeting must register online by noon on the Tuesday, two days prior to the Planning Board meeting. On-site registration to speak at in-person meetings will be available, however advance registration is strongly encouraged. Written comments, documents, and exhibits must be received via email, hand delivery, or mail by noon on the Tuesday before the Planning Board meeting to be included in the record. Subdivision and Development Review Committee Meeting

Subdivision and Development Review Committee (SDRC) is a coordination and interagency meeting early in the development review process with the applicant and M-NCPPC staff, where the public can be invited to virtually view the meeting only. The meetings are held virtually and may be viewed via live streaming video. The agendas are posted online.

Downtown Largo Festival

Saturday, September 6 | 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

As part of its Placemaking Around Town Program, the Prince George’s County Planning Department will join the Largo Town Center Association for the Downtown Largo Festival. The free festival will feature engaging creative arts, cultural experiences, family fun, farmers market, gardening demonstrations, interactive activities, local vendors, and more.

The Active Transportation Advisory Group Meeting

Monday, September 8 | 7 p.m.

The Active Transportation Advisory Group holds virtual quarterly meetings to discuss general issues impacting bicycle, pedestrian, and share use paths in Prince George’s County. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

Brown Bag Lunch Series: Missing Middle Housing Study

Tuesday, September 9 | noon – 1 p.m.

The Prince George’s County Planning Department will host a monthly Brown Bag Series covering various Development Review topics at the M-NCPPC Largo Headquarters. Fort Washington Branding and Wayfinding Open House

The Prince George’s County Planning Department and Fort Washington Forward will host an open house to gather community input to help shape the Fort Washington Branding and Wayfinding Plan. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share their vision for the area’s identity, landmarks, boundaries, and wayfinding needs.

Qualified Data Center Task Force Meeting

The Prince George’s County Qualified Data Center Task Force Meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the M-NCPPC Largo Headquarters Auditorium, 1616 McCormick Drive, Largo, MD 20774. The Qualified Data Center Task Force will discuss the recap of the July 2025 Data Centers Community Meetings and public concerns. Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission

Hyattsville Arts Festival

As part of its Placemaking Around Town Program, the Prince George’s County Planning Department will join the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation for a day of creativity, culture, and connection at the Hyattsville Arts Festival. The free, family-friendly event will feature art, live entertainment, and vendors.

M-NCPPC Full Commission Meeting

Wednesday, September 24 | 10 a.m.

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission will hold its Full Commission meeting in a hybrid format from the M-NCPPC Headquarters in Wheaton and via video conference. Agenda packets will be available online.
