The month of February is recognized as National Heart Health Month. The goal of National Heart Health month is to increase awareness surrounding heart disease. Heart disease is an umbrella term for several types of heart-related conditions. According to the CDC, the most common type of heart disease in the United States is coronary artery disease that affects blood flow. Heart disease can be brought on by many different ailments.
