Technical Assistance Panel (TAP): November 16 - November 20, 2020
On November 16th, the Urban Land Institute – Washington (ULI Washington) along with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) began a week-long virtual Technical Assistance Panel (TAP). TAP brings together experts from the planning and real estate development sectors across the Washington region to address land use and development questions in Westphalia. The public was invited to virtually attend Friday's presentation of findings, view the video here.

UrbanPlan: November 14, 2020
Staff began the Westphalia focus with ULI’s “UrbanPlan”- a fun interactive online simulation exercise in which teams compete to redevelop a fictional neighborhood.  This program allowed Westphalia residents to see decision making through the eyes of different participants – including politicians, developers, and community members – to find out more about how planners must balance competing interests in order to come to a decision on a planning application.
